Kwasiafrikani
During the last two weekends of November 2008, I take part with work of Ghetto protential in Kwasiafrikani, a nomadic art event, that evolved when Wim Vonk met Cas Rooseboom and Klaas de Jonge. It is based on their affinity with African art and art history. Alas ‘rules and regulations’ prevented the event from going public. However, a film will be made by Enno de Jonge, which can be seen in due course on the website of the event.

Update: Kwasiafrikani got covered by Weesper nieuws.
Break je bek
Bijlmer breakz have released their first CD: Break je bek. The cover photo is from a performance of TK-Jive, made at the Uitmarkt in 2006.
Many of the photos Jan-Willem Driesens and I made with Bijlmer breakz can be seen mixed together to slideshows for the various tracks on the CD. Just hop over to Youtube to take a look.
You can buy or download the CD at the website of Bijlmer breakz.

Support Ethiopia
Project-e is a welfare organization primarily focusing on education of young people in Ethiopia. I was contacted by the project for permission to use the accompanying photo of an Ethiopian girl. Of course I agreed: we must(!) support people in countries like Ethiopia!
